''Oh Allah, do not attach my heart to what's not written to be mine"

Assalamualaikum all :) Today i'm going to write about something that is close to my heart. I've always feared becoming too attached to someone who is not meant to be mine in the future. And due to that, I push away those who truly care for me. Why? I don't want to get hurt if one day they decided to leave me. Whatever it is, we just have to put our trust in Allah that He has determined our future, and our soulmate. The one you know for years, may not possibly be the one you are going to marry in the future. Instead, the one you barely know might be the one who will accompany you for the rest of your life. If you miss someone, do express it by including them in your duas'. That is what I have always been doing, cause it's the only way you can let Him know what you truly feel.

March 2014 Bangkok Trip!

Assalamualaikum all! Today I shall blog about my Bangkok trip last March with my mum and 2 aunts. We travelled around Bangkok mostly by the BTS ( skytrain ) . Well this was to save money for the sake of shopping. *hahahaha*. Once we landed in Bangkok, we took the local cab ( cost us around $SGD36 ) from the airport to our hotel ( Mac Boutique ). I was soooo excited to check out the shopping malls there. I AM A SHOPAHOLIC!!!! Once we reached the hotel, we decided to rest for awhile before heading out to MBK Center. Okay...... meanwhile, do enjoy the photos imma show you guys!!!!

I couldn't really remember how much i paid for the hotel. I think it was around $SGD 200 or below for 4 days and 3 night??? Well i thought it was quite affordable. The room facilities was not bad too. And one thing i love about this hotel is the....... free wi-fi service!! Who doesn't like free wi-fi especially when you're overseas right??!! Okay, moving on.......

The skytrain fare was around $SGD0.80 i think?

YUP, those are all mine. Most of the clothes were from 'The Platinum'. It's a wholesale shopping mall selling cheap clothings, mostly around $SGD5 only!! It's like the Bangkok version of Bugis Street except that it is air-conditioned and the stuffs there are like half the price of clothings in Bugis Street. Besides The Platinum, i went to 'Indra Square' which is also another wholesale shopping mall. I guess it will be enough for you guys to just convert around $SGD 200 just for shopping. I didn't get the chance to visit Chatchucak as most of the shops there are opened only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Last but not least....... we went to the Floating Market. It was a fun experience roaming around the area on a boat. I will definitely visit Bangkok again next year, InsyaAllah!! Okay, i'm off!!

Why Social Work?

As i mentioned in my earlier post, i am going to blog on why i chose to pursue Social Work as my 3 years diploma course in Nanyang Polytechnic. Taking up SW was unplanned. Initially, I wanted to take up any business course. However, on the last day of O'levels, i was browsing through the JAE booklet and came across a course named ''Social Science" under NYP. I then went to research about it. Then I thought to myself, why not i just give it a try. It's a good thing to do anyway. I believe in this quote: You do good, you receive good Another reason why i chose SW is that I want to make a change in other's life, may it be small or huge difference. I want to help others and be there for anyone who needs a listening ear. Maybe this is the only way for me to appreciate life more, and be contented with everything i have now. I tend to complain with what i don't have without thinking about others who have lesser than me. I am always reminded by my mother to always be grateful with what He has given me. Sadly, at times i am just not being appreciative. There are people out there who has nothing but never fail to thank Allah for what He has given to them. Alhamdulillah, i have both my parent's support on me taking up Social Work as my future career. By the end of my 3 years of diploma, I hope to not only achieve academically but also to become a better muslimah. InsyaAllah, i plan to further my education in any local universities once I have completed my diploma.

June 2014 Malacca Trip!

Assalamualaikum all! So i was away to Malacca last Saturday & Sunday for a wedding reception. It was kind of an eye-opener for me to experience how malay weddings are held in Malaysia. I guess it's quite similar to our country's malay weddings. I will be sharing some of the photos I took back in Malacca.

View of the beautiful sky plus clouds in Malacca.

Me with my beloved mama and aunt. :)

Surprisingly my mum took this beautiful shot of the sunset.

It's a norm for me to take selfies hehehehe :)
